Foundry ERP for Every Casting Process

Sand, investment, lost foam, die or centrifugal casting, or a steel melt shop: ICAST is foundry management software configured around the way your plant actually casts, the metals you pour and the industries you supply.

What ICAST Tracks for Your Process

Sand Casting ERP

From pattern to knockout, ICAST tracks every mould. Each mould links to its heat, so a blowhole found in the machine shop traces back to the sand batch, the core and the pour.

  • Pattern and method cards with life alerts
  • Mould and core production with rejection
  • Prepared-sand testing and incoming sand inspection
  • Heat-wise pouring and piece-wise traceability
See the modules for Sand Casting →

Investment Casting ERP

Investment foundries lose money in the wax room and shell line before a single heat is poured. ICAST records every pattern, tree and shell so rejection is caught where it starts.

  • Wax pattern production and tree (cluster) building
  • Shell building with primary and backup coats
  • Dewaxing and pattern, tree and cavity rejection
  • Mixed-part trees and bought-out wax patterns
See the modules for Investment Casting →

Lost Foam Casting ERP

Lost foam plants run on pattern quality. ICAST tracks foam pattern production, clustering and moulding, and ties each casting back to its pattern batch and heat.

  • Foam pattern production and clustering
  • Lost foam moulding entries
  • Pattern and cavity rejection recording
  • Heat-wise traceability to dispatch
See the modules for Lost Foam Casting →

Die Casting ERP

Die-casting margins depend on die life and scrap. ICAST keeps every die's history, alerts you before a die is due for repair, and shows rejection by part, die and shift.

  • Die master and die cards with images
  • Die life monitoring and repair alerts
  • Die issue, return and repair log
  • Defect-wise rejection analysis by part
See the modules for Die Casting →

Centrifugal Casting ERP

Pipes, cylinder liners, bushes, rings and rolls are cast in a spinning mould, and customers expect full traceability on every piece. ICAST ties each casting to its heat, chemistry and test results, so any pipe or liner can be traced back to its melt.

  • Heat-wise melting log with spectrometer readings
  • Material test certificates from the same readings
  • Defect-wise and heat-wise rejection analysis
  • Item-wise costing and yield per heat
See the modules for Centrifugal Casting →

Steel Melt Shop & Ingot Manufacturing ERP

For steel plants and ingot producers, the melt shop is the business. ICAST logs every heat with power, chemistry and lining life, and Meltix corrects chemistry before the tap.

  • Heat-wise melting log and detailed heat sheet
  • Power consumption per heat, with trends
  • Furnace and ladle lining life tracking
  • Chemistry correction and charge optimisation with Meltix

By Metal

Ferrous and Non-Ferrous

Cast Iron & Alloys

Chemistry, hardness and microstructure recorded for every heat, with least-cost charge mixes from Meltix.

SG Iron & Alloys

Nodularity and microstructure results with each heat; tensile, elongation and hardness flow into the test certificate.

Steel Casting Foundries

Heat treatment cycles with time–temperature charts, NDT records (MPT, DPT, UT, RT) and inspection certificates.

Steel Plants

Heat logs, power per heat, lining life and chemistry correction for every tap.

Aluminium Alloys

Die and pattern life, alloy chemistry against specification and defect-wise rejection for high-volume parts.

Copper Alloys

Alloy chemistry, melt loss in item-wise costing and customer-specific test certificate formats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Process and Industry Questions

How ICAST fits your casting process, the metals you pour and the size of your plant.

Which casting processes does ICAST support?

ICAST is used as an ERP for sand casting, investment casting, lost foam casting, gravity and pressure die casting, centrifugal casting, steel castings, steel melt shops and ingot manufacturing. One system is configured for your process, and the Plans page can be filtered by sand, investment or die casting to show which modules apply.

Can ICAST trace a rejected casting back to its heat?

Yes. Every casting links to its heat, chemistry and test results. In a sand foundry, a blowhole found in the machine shop traces back to the sand batch, the core and the pour; in lost foam, to the pattern batch.

How does ICAST handle die life in a die casting plant?

ICAST keeps a die master and die cards with images, monitors die life, alerts you before a die is due for repair, and logs every issue, return and repair. Rejection is shown by part, die and shift.

Can ICAST catch rejection in the wax room and shell line?

Yes. For investment casting, ICAST records wax patterns, tree building, shell coats and dewaxing, and captures rejection at the pattern, tree and cavity stage, before a heat is poured.

Does ICAST record heat treatment and NDT for steel castings?

Yes. Heat treatment cycles are kept with time–temperature charts, NDT results (MPT, DPT, UT and RT) are recorded against the casting, and inspection certificates are built from the same data.

Does ICAST work for steel plants and ingot manufacturers?

Yes. The melt-shop modules log every heat with a detailed heat sheet, power per heat and furnace and ladle lining life. Chemistry correction before the tap comes from Meltix, sold separately.

Which metals does ICAST support?

Cast iron, SG iron, steel, aluminium and copper alloys. SG iron foundries record nodularity and microstructure with each heat; copper alloy foundries see melt loss in item-wise costing.

Can one ICAST system handle more than one process, metal or plant?

Yes. A single ICAST system can run several casting processes and metals, and multi-plant or multi-company setups are available as add-ons.

We also have a machine shop. Can ICAST run it too?

Yes. ICAST covers your machining processes and gives machine shop reports: OEE, tool and consumable consumption, and operator-wise output and rejection. Machining is part of ICAST Enterprise, or can be added as a single module to a smaller plan.

Can ICAST manage an assembly shop?

Yes. Each assembly gets its own bill of materials, and assemblies are produced, stocked and sold as separate items. If a customer rejects an assembly, you take it back, dismantle it in ICAST, and return the good and rejected components to stock separately.

Is ICAST suitable for a small foundry?

Yes. ICAST Lite is built to replace Excel and paper logs on the shop floor, and plans start from ₹12,000 per month. You can add modules as you grow.
